Tides & Safety

Come along to a talk by our local Portishead RNLI crew, about local tides and how to be safe when swimming in the sea.

The talk will cover the tides as well as safety such as what to do if a swimmer gets into trouble i.e. calling for help/signalling, how to try and relax in the water.

It will also cover various bits of kit it is recommended be used when swimming, which helps them to help you should you ever need rescuing.

If time and weather allow, the session may also include a practical part on how to use throw lines and other safety equipment.

The talk is at Clevedon Sailing Club, The Beach, Clevedon BS21 7QU.

There is a stair lift for disabilities, please contact us if you need to use it so we can meet you and help.
