2022 Long Swim Winners

Congratulations to Rachel Curnock, first lady skins swimmer and Rob Stafford, first men’s skins swimmer. Rachel was presented with the 1928 Rose Bowl trophy and Rob with the 1928 Oakhill trophy in Clevedon Sailing Club where they are now on permanent show, by Commodore Trevor Baker. Well done to all the Long Swimmers. The race went ahead despite some very challenging conditions. Special thanks to Avon Outdoor Activities Club, Clevedon Sailing Club and all the volunteers who helped run this historic local race.

New home for 1928 trophies

A big thank you to Rob Grubb for making this cabinet for the Long Swim trophies. They’ve never had permanent place of display since their beginning in 1928. Thanks to Rob and Clevedon Sailing Club they now have a home where they can be admired and enjoyed.

Below are a photos and videos of the Long Swim, kindly provided by participants, volunteers, and spectators.
